The local event for children was held on the 25th of September in Rijeka, Croatia, during the European Week of Sport 2019. With the guidance of Rijeka’s trainers and kinesiologists, the program brought together fifty children who engaged in physical activities and basic sports. The program was held outdoors, at the Terminal Rijeka, near the sea. Besides 13 children who were Croatian participants in Sofia, Bulgaria in May 2019, we engaged children from local sport clubs and schools, no matter their status, gender or nationality. In addition, some children who were just passing by wanted to be a part of the event, so we invited them to join us to #BeActive. The biggest local TV station (Kanal Ri) recognized the importance of our event so they made a piece of reportage broadcasted on the News.
